Many Thanks to Dawn, Lewis, Lynne, Jade, Lauren, Tom, Miroslaw, Lacie, Eden, Star, Debbie, Eden's Nan and Ethan for helping out at the bag pack.
We raised a massive £130.44 in 2 hours for the JKS Squad and Emily Bailes Fund. Also a big Thank You to everyone who donated.

What an amazing weekend! Three days of training at Torbay Leisure Centre and on the beach in Quay West with Sensei's Alan Campbell 6th Dan, Ken Organ 6th Dan, Scott Langley 5th Dan and Steve Carless 5th Dan. Well Done to Lacie Stembridge on achieving Shodan (1st Degree) Black Belt. Lacie is Kaizen No-Michi's first student to achieve Black Belt from joining as a beginner. She is a credit to our Karate School. Osu

A great day for Sensei's Andrew and Jackie Jones and students Luke Townsend, Alice Hylton and Lacie Stembridge being their first time representing JKS England. All performed well each progressed through rounds. Andrew now mens 40+ Kumite JKS Irish open champion and Jackie 2 Silvers:Womens Senior Kumite & 35+ Kumite & also Bronze Womens Kata

Students Jade Taylor, Lewis Simpson and Lacie Stembridge travelled down to Nottingham with Sensei's Andrew and Jackie to the JKS Technical Seminar with our World Chief Instructor Masao Kagawa 8th Dan with assistance from
Sensei Alan Campbell 6th Dan and Sensei Scott Langley 5th Dan.
The course was very inspirational and beneficial to us all in our path to constant and never ending improvement. (Kaizen No-Michi)

Seibukan Childrens Karate Competition

A fantastic day and excellent results for our four students who competed at the Seibukan Childrens Karate Championships in Nottingham.
Results: Jade Taylor - 3rd place Individual Kumite
Alice Hylton - 1st place Individual & Team Kata, 2nd place Individual & Team Kumite.
Lacie Stembridge - 1st place Individual & Team Kumite, 1st place Team Kata. Awarded Best Female Competitor of the Day.

JKS Brown & Black Belt Course

A great day of training at the first JKS Brown and Black Belt Course of 2011 with Sensei Alan Campbell 6th Dan.
The course was followed by national squad training with Sensei's Alan Campbell 6th Dan and Steve Carless 5th Dan.

Kangeiko 2011
Cleethorpes Beach
A great start to the new year with the traditional Japanese 7 day Winter Training - Kangeiko.
The challenge being the start in the cold and darkness at 6am in Cleethorpes. After a quick warm up both students and instructors took
to the local roads and beach for a 20 minute run.This followed every morning by intensive training sessions.
Well Done to all our students who attended.
